Want Some Free Publicity Print E-mail

Hold a seminar using some of Accolade's materials and we will tell 20,000 people about your event!.

Accolade Publications has three different Seminar-in-a-Box kits to help you put on great customer-centric events.  These include Upgrading to Version 2010, Year End Closing Procedures, and Tips and Tricks.  Each of these Seminar-in-a-Box kits includes a workbook for planning your seminar, seminar materials for your attendees, door prizes (yes, we will throw in one of our great manuals for you to give away) and free publicity in our newsletter for your event.  With all of this material already assembled, just add an instructor, stir with publicity, and be successful!

Seminars are not only a great way to train your customers (and earn a bit of revenue in the process) but you also get an audience willing to see new Dynamics enhancements, new third party products, new Accolade manuals, and other opportunities to engage your firm.

Call Elizabeth at our office today and ask for information on our seminar kits.  You can also find materials online in the Reseller Information area of our web.

Selecting the Right ERP Software Print E-mail

This morning I replied to a business professional that wants details on the features of Dynamics software. His firm is looking to purchase a new ERP system, and so he is looking for information to help him make the best decision. Well, his motives are good, but his approach is not so good.

MS Excel Complements MS Dynamics GP Print E-mail
Using Excel with your company's accounting software is an economical way to create reports and dashboards, which will allow instant visibility for users who may need to run periodic reports.
Linking Excel to your accounting software is not for the faint of heart. However, with the aid of MS SQL Server as your primary database, it will work seamlessly. Out of the box, MS SQL Server comes with countless Excel based reports, in addition to an Excel Report Builder option which will let you create your own reports.
For more information on using MS Excel with MS Dynamics GP, Accolade offers two options: Excel Report Builder and Creating Reports with SSRS for MS Dynamics GP.

Switched to SSRS Yet? Print E-mail

If you have not yet made the move to MS SQL SSRS, now is the time. Since your firm is on MS-SQL, you get this tool free. If you are on one of the more current versions of SQL, the tool can be installed directly from your installation media. Otherwise, download a free copy from the Microsoft website.

Microsoft's SQL Services Reporting System is growing in popularity. Dynamics GP now comes with several hundred pre-written reporting helps.

The SSRS report designer tools are easy to use. Yes, they are different, and this means a small learning curve. Yet, they contain some additional power to provide graphical displays of data, and with GP's new interface, the tool is becoming more and more popular.

Third-party product-developers have already adopted this report-generation tool. Accountable's Forms Printer, long the standard for easily-customizable documents, has added strong support for SSRS-generated forms and documents. Also, I am sorry to report, it is easier to use and more flexible than the MS Word documents embedded in GP.

If you need to learn this new tool, then Accolade's book, Creating Reports with SSRS, is what you need... It takes new users step-by-step through the process of creating reports with the reporting tool, while expert users are provided hints and tricks to enable them to build better and more flexible reports and documents.
